Maybe then...

In our society being pretty and popular is EVERYTHING, it's so stupid.

I don't understand why we can't treat everyone equally. People like Martin Luther King Jr. stood up for equal treatment, so why can't we? Our generation is ruled my money, looks, and popularity. If you don't have any of that your out casted by your peers. It makes absolutely no since. Those people who get treated like crap, will probably grow up feeling like no one cares about them. Tell me, how would you like it? Feeling like your a nobody. I see these kids everyday and I think "What if that was me?"... "What if people treated ME like that?"...

Why do you think our generation is like this? Is it the way were influenced by the media? I think so. Take away the celebrities like Paris Hilton and Miley Cyrus the ones that make it seem like if your not like them there's something wrong with you. Take away all the magazines and models. The TV shows, movies, commercials, and the designer clothes. Even take away the Internet. Then. Then and only then picture our world. Imagine how different it would be. Maybe then the things people all through our history stood up for would count for something. Maybe then equal treatment in our society would seem more possiable.
